  • A loss was inevitable. A 100% home record was always going to be beaten at some stage and it was a question of when, not if, managerless Crystal Palace would claim that particular record. This was not an unmitigated disaster - although it brings to an end a streak of good form and luck - and the Foxes hold on to their magnificent goalscoring record. What price, then, a bore-draw in their next fixture?
  • Like buses... Leicester's relatively thin squad have seemed to find a dip in form all at the same time with a number of key players off-colour against the Eagles. With an indifferent performance from the referee, who did not favour either side and missed a number of potentially game-changing decisions, this just wasn't Leicester City's day.

Winners
Richie de Laet
What Leicester did do well against Crystal Palace seemed to revolve around young Belgian Richie de Laet, whose pace in attack and willingness in defence bettered the visitors on the right flank. De Laet has suffered criticism in the early part of this season but he is still young and could yet become a crucial member of a promotion-winning team. On his day he offers a substantial threat in attack and, whilst he still has much to learn, strength and height to repel the opposition, too. His build makes him an ideal player at this level and against the Eagles he showed his worth.

Losers
Danny Drinkwater
Far from the influential and controlling presence Danny Drinkwater has forged at the heart of the Foxes' midfield, the former Manchester United man looked overwhelmed and lost against Palace. Like Anthony Knockaert, he has hit poor form when his side most needed a dazzling performance.

Anthony Knockaert
It seems that tricky French youngster Anthony Knockaert has been found out by the rest of the Championship, with Crystal Palace the third team in a week to nullify most of his attacking threat. Palace limited his shooting chances and closed-down Knockaert quickly, forcing him into errors and playing him off the ball.
